Beebe Lake Transformation
- Cornell University, Ithaca, New York
- 2024
About this Project
The goal for Beebe Lake at Cornell University was to create a dynamic public outdoor space designed to celebrate waterfront recreation and community gathering. Anchored by custom-designed kayak/canoe storage and a welcoming campfire circle, the space invites users of all ages to connect with nature and one another. The landscape design incorporates native plantings, permeable pathways, and shaded rest areas to blend aesthetics with environmental responsibility. Greenery, signage, and seating were carefully integrated to maintain a natural feel while ensuring comfort and safety.
